Challenge yourself

Challenging ourselves is the pathway to success. Step out of your comfort zone and try something new, maybe it scares you …. the results will scare you even more!

Making changes to our every day life and challenging ourselves can be extremely rewarding. The past few weeks I have:

  1. Started reading more
  2. Aiming to drink  4-5 liters of water per day
  3. Not blow drying my hair.

I feel very motivated and love exercising. Exercise is my stress release and becoming a little bit of an addiction. I recently ran 10km in 50;28sec and felt great.  Challenging ourselves is the first step, telling the mind we can do something is the next, and then the body will follow.

From these few changes I have felt healthier in myself. Reading is calming me down and it is a great new hobby. Instead of scrolling Instagram before bed I try to read a chapter. Drinking lots of water is giving my skin a much clearer and softer look. My hair is also a lot healthier from not blow drying it every day.

  1. Great stuff Nicola, love this 🙂

I agree that forming new healthy habits can be daunting, but also extremely rewarding. It’s great to see that you have reaped such positive benefits from the changes you’ve implemented!

To help with forming these habits, it’s important to remember the big reason why you are making these changes. If people are doing something for the wrong reasons or they’re not sure of the reasons, it won’t stick. For example, if someone wanted to start going to yoga 3 times a week, they need to remind themselves why and this reason could be to get more flexible or to calm their mind more.

Loving the content, keep doing what you’re doing 🙂

PS – On a related note, I’m on the hunt for feedback for my new show The HERO Podcast! It’s all about creating healthy habit. The episode with Derek Doepker may be of interest to you where he discusses how to make lasting changes. You can check it out (and maybe leave a short review if you like) here:
